Without thinking too far outside the box, maybe we should have a new system where if you win 50% of the votes in your riding, you don't have to run again for five years.

Kind of a spin on the Senate in the US, which is staggered in when each race is held - imagine if all the tories in Alberta didn't have to run again?

Of course this is a crazy idea - but sometimes you have to ask "what is the point?"
